Mr. Cohen, the defendant had struck a pedestrian with his car. At the trial, Mr. Cohen's attorney rose and said, " I ask the court to dismiss these charges. Look at my client's record: he's been driving for 30 years and has never gotten a speeding ticket ! The pedestrian was obviously in the wrong. "
The plaintiff's attorney rose and said, " Following that train of thought, the charges cannot possibly be dropped. My client has never been hit by a car . . . and he's been walking for 60 years ! "
MAN, I LOVE LAWYERS . . . YOU CAN'T DO WITH THEM AND YOU CAN'T DO WITHOUT THEM. MAYBE SHAKESPEARE WAS RIGHT, FIRST, SHOOT ALL OF THE LAWYERS.
