Quacks, sheisters, charlatans, scofflaws, etc. are the field of early recurring themes I was used to seeing in the movies as a kid . . . Like Bob Hope in The Lemon Drop Kid . . . Red Skelton playing a hack door-to-door Fuller Brush salesman, then later depicting an old clown with a big heart., I remember Bud Abbott and Lou Costello selling some piece of crap on a fold-up table in NYC always just a half-a-block from the bumbling cops . . . Then my favorite fools as a kid . . THE THREE STOOGES . . .

I lived just a block and a half from The RIALTO, later changed to The PARAMOUNT in downtown Tucson, Arizona. Bella Lugosi was big . . I remember him dying in the streets of L.A. dead broke from a heroin overdose, or so the story was all over the papers . . .

" No person was ever honored for what he recieved.
Honor has been for what he gave. "

- Calvin Coolidge

" When a man sits with a pretty girl for an hour, it seems like a minute.  But let him sit on a hot stove for a minute and - - - and it's longer than an hour ! - - - That's relativity.

- Albert Einstein
