DOCTOR CARTOON - Roy Delgado

Quacks, sheisters, charlatans, scofflaws, etc. are the field of early recurring themes I was used to seeing in the movies as a kid . . . Like Bob Hope in The Lemon Drop Kid . . . Red Skelton playing a hack door-to-door Fuller Brush salesman, then later depicting an old clown with a big heart., I remember Bud Abbott and Lou Costello selling some piece of crap on a fold-up table in NYC always just a half-a-block from the bumbling cops . . . Then my favorite fools as a kid . . THE THREE STOOGES . . .

I lived just a block and a half from The RIALTO, later changed to The PARAMOUNT in downtown Tucson, Arizona. Bella Lugosi was big . . I remember him dying in the streets of L.A. dead broke from a heroin overdose, or so the story was all over the papers . . .
