Here we are on lesson 12, talking about the ubiqutous "Ben Day " treatment explaining the medium
which was then in it's hey day . . . In a recent interview, I understand CATHY'S creator and current cartoonist Cathy Guisewite STILL uses the Ben Day cut and stick dot patterns press type when she can find it. 
Just recently, Bob Weber Sr. told me he uses it when he can in his Moose and Molly comic strip ( King Features ) of 40-some-plus years.

Bob Sr. also produces The Slylock Fox and Comics for Kids comic strip including Sundays along with his son, Bob Weber Jr., who now resides in Tucson, Arizona.  Slylock appears in well over 200 newspapers now and is doing very well.  I can proudly say are both friends of mine.
