if we but knew what to do with it. "
- Ralph Waldo Emerson
This quote reminds me of a "cat" I had working for me back when I had my sign manufacturing plant. He came into the shop one day wearing a white tee shirt which sported big, huge, bold san-serif letters emblazoned on the FRONT AND BACK: "D.I.N."
Of course, I asked what does " D. I. N. " stand for ?
He said, " DO IT NOW ! " I loved it as he was the best employee I had and he was famous for getting the job done, RIGHT NOW, QUICK !
Needless to say, "D. I. N." became a catch-phrase and spread all over . . . later, I had tee-shirts screen printed with those letters front and back, blue on white, just as the first one I saw.

A GOOD WAY TO START YOUR DAY . . .,BOOKMARK THIS BLOG AND THEN YOU'Ll BE READY TO TAKE ON THE DAY . . . WARNING: I'VE BEEN TOLD THIS STUFF IS ADDICTIVE.
I love Alqueda gags . . . I wonder how these would go over in a cave in Afghanistan with a couple of guys wearing robes and black vests ? . . . Having just darted in that cave dodging a drone . . . . You can't help but wonder . . . .
Of course, next is a gay Frankenstein monster, right ?
really, you gotta be fair, right ? Maybe Shelley had it in the back burner . . . who knows ? Till the time
was right !

Organic Gardening cartoon - Roy Delgado
I think there there is no real good definition of
what constitutes "ORGANIC GARDENING", that is, to the general sap on the street . . . Of course, we know that the real organic farmers do not use chemicals . . . but, but . . . SOME of the "chemicals" that are used in the other vegetables are placed in there for our own good.
Some of the "chemicals" are no good, and some are okay . . . . in fact it is for your own safety and welfare that some of the chemicals are placed there in the first place.
Anyway, as far as I'm concerned, the farmer in this cartoon IS ENGAGED IN ORGANIC GARDENING.

Cartoon of the Month - Roy Delgado
------------------------
This drawing appeared in Harvard Business Review
a couple years ago and I wanted to do a color version since it's a natural for color with the pizza colors on the charts . . . You call this work ? I find that it's a therapy for keeping sane . . . for me.
It doesn't get any better than this.
Robins are showing up tweeting . . squirrels scampering around my yard . . saw two deer out my window this morning taking a short-cut right by my window, about 25 yards from where I sit . . . the clean air here in the mountains is free . . . the sweet smell of liberty and freedom is appreciated and loved . . . we should never forget snd pray for our heroes who are protecting us in the wars overseas and our special ops teams in 32 countries . . .
My favorite

Cartoon of the Day - Roy Delgado
I love business cartoons . . having worked in my own company for 26 years, it was business every day . . . meeting with my sign shop customers, my employees, hiring, firing, meetings with architects, city planners, committees, bureaucracies in obtaining permits . . . beggars in the street, all happening in the metropolitan Washington, D.C. area . . . I loved every minute of it . . . in fact, I miss it in many ways . . .
However, living on top of this mountain in wild and winderful West Virginia has its own rewards, the quietness, solitude, a few birds chirping in the morning proudly showing you a new tune, a couple or five or sometimes 12 deer quietly tip toeing across your front yard . . . this place, since 2001, when I sold my business and retired is really almost like a writer's or painter's, or for that matter, a cartoonist's retreat . . . where one finds creative juices flowing early in the morning and lasts usually for a twelve hour period at least and then your body beckons for rest and nourishment . . . during this period, maybe a little Schubert, Chopin or Dave Brubeck or Coltrane softly in the background, maybe a little Jack Daniels old No. 7 somewhere in the mix . . . it doesn't get any better than this . . . today, gold hits over 1600 per oz., and this time you were wise . . .
